New release: Bimbi y su Trio Oriental (1964)

From Eastern Cuba, known as Oriente, which has brought us Trio Matamoros and Los Guaracheros de Oriente, we present Bimbi y su Trio Oriental. Led by Maximiliano “Bimbi” Sánchez, the trio are known for their humorous double-entendre lyrics of the guaracha, sung in beguiling harmonies, set to the beat and special stringed interplay of the son oriental. This album is an ode to the Cuban son with mostly bolero son and son montuno songs, many of which Bimbi himself composed. Bimbi y su Trio Oriental is now available to stream everywhere.
